IMPORTANT MESSAGES FROM THE
HRH THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH
Landford Parish Council is deeply saddened to learn of the death of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh.
We join the entire nation in mourning a decorated veteran of the Royal Navy in the Second World War and are immensely thankful for his lifetime of faithful service.
Our sincerest condolences are with Her Majesty the Queen, and all Members of the Royal Family at this incredibly sad time.
We understand people will want to pay their respects. There is an online book of condolence on the Wiltshire Council website. The condolence book will remain open until the day after the funeral.
Public health guidance is that the laying of floral tributes should be discouraged and residents should avoid gathering at landmarks at this time due to the ongoing risk of the COVID-19 pandemic.
