MAYBUSH COPSE PUBLIC MEETING
14th May 2010
Members of the public were invited to this meeting to discuss the options that this piece of woodland could be used for. Prior to commencement of the meeting the audience were invited to take refreshments and wander round the hall to examine the various displays. These included pictures produced by the children from the local school expressing their ideas as to what they would like to see in the woodland area, and also the results of the ecological and tree surveys already carried out.
The hall was laid out with tables and chairs to form working groups so that after an initial introduction by Saira Sheldrake (Recreation Officer, New Forest National Park Authority), each table could spend 30 minutes putting forward their ideas as to what they would like to see happen with this woodland copse.

The Parish Council received the results of the consultation meeting from Saira Sheldrake. She provided a sketch of the proposed layout of the Copse, which you can view below. You may also read her Workshop Report May 2010.
